Presenting two recently discovered original paintings by America’s foremost illustrator Norman Rockwell. These two paintings were commissioned by the firm Brown and Bigelow to illustrate their 1949 Four Seasons calendar. The paintings are from the family of a former Chicago Insurance executive Mr. William H. Alger Jr. (1903-1991) who, according to the family, acquired the paintings sometime before 1960.
