TWO RUSSIAN IMPERIAL PORCELAIN PLATES, PERIOD OF CATHERINE II. Comprising two plates from the Cabinet Service, Imperial Porcelain Factory, St. Petersburg, period of Catherine II. The cavetto of each painted within an Italian scene including one with Saint Peters, Rome. The gilded borders profusely painted with blossoming flowers. The underside of each with titles inscribed in French, the blue underglaze mark for Catherine II and with red collection inventory numbers. Diameter 9.25 inches (23.5cm).
