TWO PORCELAIN PLATES FROM THE YUSUPOV SERVICE, PAUL I. Comprising two dinner plates from the Yusupov Service, Imperial Porcelain Factory, St. Petersburg, period of Paul I, with scalloped rims, the cavetto painted with an Italian view, with cobalt blue rim and gold-stylized scrolls, the verso of each inscribed in French identifying the scene. The first, View of the Port of Palermo. The second with a view of the Port and City of Syracuse and each with the blue under glazed cypher for Paul I and one with cold-painted red inventory collection numbers. Diameter of each 10 inches (25cm).
