A FINE PORCELAIN URN ATTRIBUTTED TO IMPERAIL PORCELAIN FACTIORY, PERIOD OF NICHOLAS I. Of classical Grecian form resting on a gilt decorated square platform beneath a socle base with sweeping gilt handles, the body entirely painted with a panorama depicting a scene from Greek mythology rendered in grisaille with colored tinting and with overhanging gilt rim. The underside of base bearing faint mark of Nicholas I (1825-1855). Height 14.8 inches (37.5cm).
