IMPRESSIVE RUSSIAN IMPERIAL PORCELAIN URN, NICHOLAS I. Comprising a large and impressive gilt decorated and painted urn. Imperial Porcelain Factory, St. Petersburg, period of Nicholas I. Resting on a gilt bronze square base, the urn of traditional form with extensive gilt banding and scroll handles, the front with a hexagonal reserve, finely painted with a cupid in a chariot pulled by a butterfly, likely after the painting by Raphael. Underside of base with blue underglaze cypher of Nicholas I and again marked on the inside of rim with the gilt cypher of Nicholas I. Handles likely restored. Height 15 inches (38cm).

A FINE PORCELAIN URN ATTRIBUTTED TO IMPERAIL PORCELAIN FACTIORY, PERIOD OF NICHOLAS I. Of classical Grecian form resting on a gilt decorated square platform beneath a socle base with sweeping gilt handles, the body entirely painted with a panorama depicting a scene from Greek mythology rendered in grisaille with colored tinting and with overhanging gilt rim. The underside of base bearing faint mark of Nicholas I (1825-1855). Height 14.8 inches (37.5cm).

The underplate centered with a gilt flowerhead medallion. The bowl with a blue underglaze mark of Alexander I and the underplate with incised production marks and old exhibition and auction labels. The diameter of bowl 6 Inches (17 cm). Height of bowl 3.25 inches (8.5 cm). Diameter of underplate 7.25 inches (18.5 cm).

The dark blue borders painted with green reserves painted with linked chains and ropes configured as Imperial double headed eagles beneath a crown and with equally spaced blue circular reserves painted with gilt anchors and centered with the Cypher of Alexander II and on the opposing border a similar reserve with gilt orb. The interior with gold, green and knotted roped banding.  The underside with green cypher of Alexander II. Length 10.25 inches (20.6 cm). Scarce.

LARGE RUSSIAN IMPERIAL PORCELAIN CHARGER. Comprising a large and impressive charger from the Ropsha Service, Imperial Porcelain Factory, St. Petersburg, period of Alexander II. The borders with ciselé anthemia against a blue ground and bordered by beaded and plain gilt band, the center with a gilded version of the Imperial double-headed eagle current circa 1827, when the service was first ordered, i.e., with lowered wings and with a torch and laurel wreath held in its talons, the underside with green Imperial cypher mark of Alexander II. PAIR OF INTERESTING RUSSIAN IMPERIAL PORCELAIN TAZZAS. Comprising two tazzas, the largest with bell form base and flared rim bowl. Overall decorated with gold and Greek key banding. The base with ornate crowned intertwined Cyrillic cypher VA, very likely for an early service of Grand Duke Vladimir Alexandrovich (son of Tsar Alexander II). The underside with green cypher mark Alexander II. Height 8.25 inches (21cm). Together with another tazza, from the dowry and personal service of Grand Duchess Xenia Alexandrovna, with wide blue and gilt banding and the bowl with her crowned gilt cypher. Height 6.75 inches (17cm).

A hand painted matching cup and saucer, the borders banded with a twisted ribbon and the cavetto of saucer and side of cup painted with a watermelon, berries and flowers, underside of each piece with blue underglaze mark of Alexander I, diameter of saucer 5.25 inches (13.2cm). And a matching hand painted covered teacup decorated with flowers and gilt scrolls. The underside with blue underglaze mark of Nicholas I, height 3 inches (7.5cm).

Comprising two matching dessert plates diameter 9 inches (23 cm), two cups height 2.25 inches (6 cm) and two saucers (one saucer associated and not Russian), diameter of saucer 6 inches (15 cm), and two cut glass liquors. Each piece with the seal of Alexandria Park in Peterhof with gold sword on blue shield placed through a wreath of white roses and inscribed in Cyrillic with the motto for Faith, Tsar, and Fatherland.
