RARE ROSEVILLE SIGNED RHEAD JARDINIÈRE & STAND. Comprising a rare early Roseville jardinière and pedestal stand overall in matte green glaze with raised banding and poppies. The petals finished in high gloss glaze. Both the jardinière and pedestal initialed HR for Harry Rhead (1882-1950). The jardiniere height 8.25 inches, diameter 13.25 inches. Pedestal height 24.5 inches. Overall height (including jardinière and pedestal) 32.75 inches.

Harry Rhead was a younger brother of Frederick Hurten Rhead. He was the Arts Director at Roseville Pottery between 1908 and 1917, following his brother's resignation from the pottery. Harry Rhead served as founding member of Standard Tile Company in 1923.
