LARGE SPANISH COLONIAL SILVER VOTIVE CROWN. Comprising a large and impressive Spanish colonial silver votive crown, probably Bolivian 18th or 19th century. The headband chased with a repeating diamond pattern against an engraved ground upon which rests rococo scroll, pierced flower forms centered with crosses with deep repousse and chasing from which rises four repousse and chased floral form brackets attached to a square base with chased border supporting an orb with cross finial. Height 11.75 inches (30cm), interior diameter (headband) 5.25 inches (13.5cm), total weight 31 troy ounces.
