A VERY FINE EARLY AMERICAN PEWTER FLAGON, THOMAS BOARDMAN, HARTFORD, CT, CIRCA 1820-1840. Of cylindrical form with hinged domed cover, and scrolled thumb piece surmounting an S curved handle raised on a fluted foot rim. The bottom with circular eagle hallmark. Height 8.1 inches (20.6 cm).
