Jon Crisman has been actively involved in the antiques and auction industry for over 40 years, with over 30 years as an employee of Jackson's. A native Iowan, Jon's interests are perhaps as diverse as his expertise. From an early age Jon's inquisitive mind has led him down many paths. He parlayed his love of historical photography into a college degree and subsequently directs the photo-imaging department at Jackson's. Additionally, Jon oversees the sales department together with the American and European Art Glass and Ceramics Departments. An admitted romantic, Jon has restored and refurnished four houses including a Victorian painted lady, an Arts and Craft Bungalow, a Cape Cod and his current home, a 1950's California Ranch.

Jon has traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and Europe photographing and collecting along the way. Jon's photographic skills have earned him many awards and recognition including the prestigious National Auctioneers Association Photography Excellence Award. Jon has written and lectured on Victorian antiques, American & European porcelain, glassware and American art pottery. Jon has appraised literally millions upon millions of dollars worth of fine antiques and decorative art for a multitude of public and private concerns. Among the many areas Jon has collected personally are: coins, cameras, Victorian glassware and furniture, cut glass, Cameo glass, post modern furniture, African and Asian decorative arts and vintage automobiles.

Mr. Crisman is a member in good standing in a multitude of organizations including the International Society of Appraisers, National Auctioneers Association, American Numismatic Association, and many others. Jon and his wife Carol make their home in Cedar Falls, where they both enjoy restoring vintage automobiles when they are not pursuing their other interest, world travel.
